Job Description:

The Material Master Data Lead Analyst creates and manages product data and process across a broad array of products within our product information management tools. As a team member, the Lead Analyst will be responsible for: leading in developing, analyzing, and optimizing product content across a broad range of product information management tools, developing and implementing process optimization, full management of process implementation, researching product standardizations and guidelines for accuracy, leading data normalization projects, product research and reporting.

  • Develop and execute strategies and operations around existing content creation standards and time to market

  • Lead data quality and governance for accurate, high-quality content

  • Develop and streamline processes to improve data quality and shorten time to market

  • Lead end-to-end team operations and content lifecycles within Patterson’s product information systems

  • Build and oversee project timelines while owning and managing personal and team workloads

  • Develop and refine content for complex product lines

  • Research, analyze, and update product specification data for tens of thousands of items

  • Provide reports for all levels of the department around data quality, process improvements, and sales reporting

  • Ensure team is meeting all required guidelines and safety measures around product information and regulatory

  • In collaboration with product team, analyze data and report on category improvements

  • Use advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, or SQL data queries to analyze and combine data from multiple data systems

  • Lead team members to export and analyze content for inconsistency/errors, correct data, and import changes into database

  • Analyze and advance industry trends in product classification

  • Develop process improvements, then create/update process documentation

  • Make independent decisions that affect the function and performance for company-wide shared database system, as well as troubleshoot issues that arise

  • Lead complex projects while collaborating with management on key functional areas

Job Qualifications

Material Master Data Specific

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent years of experience

  • 5 years of work experience

  • 3 years of SAP and Material Master experience

  • 2 years of experience with data profiling, monitoring and policy management process; Information Steward preferred

  • Positively contribute to the PTP and Shared Services team environment

  • Must have ability to balance and set priorities for a group and provide general work direction for individuals

  • Must have leadership skills, business judgment, project management skills and persuasive people skills

  • Advanced skillset in Excel, Access and other data applications involving techniques in handling large, complex data

  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills that will be used to communicate with all levels of the organization, including senior management

  • Must be willing to take risks and suggest new and innovative alternatives

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

  • Has exceptional problem solving and multi-tasking skills while maintaining a high level of editorial skills with a great attention to detail

  • Analytical experience with high aptitude for research and analysis

  • Ability to make the complex succinct and simple; clarity of thought is extremely valued

  • Strong customer orientation

  • Always demonstrates a commitment to Patterson’s values and professionalism through appropriate conduct

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with Informatica P360 platform

  • Experience with dental or animal health products a plus 

  • Experience with B2B and/or healthcare experience a plus

The potential compensation range for this role is below. The final offer amount could exceed this range, based on various factors such as candidate location (geographical labor market), experience, and skills.

$58,900.00 - $72,200.00
